My name is Ikbal, and after soaking in the history of Ajmer (the pilgrimage center) and the regal splendor of Jaipur (the city of forts and palaces), my road trip through India culminated in a journey to the legendary city of Agra to witness the Taj Mahal . The Drive to Agra Our journey began on National Highway 11. Unlike the modern expressways connecting Delhi and Jaipur, this route lacked the same polish and width, though the traffic was noticeably lighter. The drive was beautiful, passing through endless stretches of vivid green farmlands—a mesmerizing sight that reached far into the horizon. We passed close to the historically significant city of Fatehpur Sikri . However, since it was already past 5:00 PM, we regrettably chose not to visit, prioritizing our timely arrival in Agra.
